The Accommodation
List
An Accommodation List is available from the Institute
Reception or by contacting Sabrina Kenny on 071 9137226
. This is a list compiled by the Institute from applications
received from landlords/landladies who have applied
to be included in the Accommodation list of Digs and
Self Catering accommodation available to students at
the Institute. Accommodation information will also be
posted on the Accommodation Noticeboard to the right
of the main Reception desk. The Institute has not checked
the accommodation and you should satisfy yourself that
it is suitable before entering into any agreement with
a landlord/lady. The Institute is not responsible for
any agreements reached between tenants and landlords.
Self-Catering Accommodation can also be found through
advertisements in the local newspapers (The Sligo Champion/Sligo
Weekender) or from the Student Union. When renting accommodation
or digs you should check that any deposit you are asked
to pay is refundable, and the conditions applying to
the refund. You are entitled to a Rent Book if you are
in self-catering accommodation. Check that the accommodation
is clean and habitable. Remember that a house, which
seems warm in September, may be very cold in November.
Check out arrangements for the payment of electricity,
heating bills etc.
Students can choose from:
- Self Catering Student Apartments or
- Self Catering Houses
It is strongly recommended that students book
their accommodation in advance in JULY. All
accommodation is owned and managed privately. The International
Office cannot book accommodation.

SELF CATERING STUDENT APARTMENTS:
The following newly purpose built student apartments
are available close to
the Institute.
SELF-CATERING HOUSES
Self catering houses are mainly 3 or 4 bed roomed
houses with a kitchen and dining room. The houses vary
between 5 to 30 minutes walk distance from the Institute.
From 1st July, there will be a list of self catering
houses available for
international students to rent.

price & distance from
